PITTSFIELD, Mass. Mar. 31,
2015 – Hillcrest
Educational Centers raised over $50,000 from their annual St. Patrick's gala
held on March 19th at the Country Club of Pittsfield. The generous lead sponsor
for the event was Greylock Federal Credit Union. Other major community sponsors
included General Dynamics Mission Systems, Rowley Fuel Company and Berkshire
Bank.
One
hundred and thirty businesses and individuals supported the event through
sponsorships and donated auction items.
Attendees had the opportunity to hear directly from a Hillcrest student
who shared her personal journey. Honored during the well-attended evening were
Massachusetts Representative, John Scibak, for the Irish” person of the Year
Award and George Haddad and D. Michael Coggins of Haddad Dealerships for the
Judge John A. Barry Award for Community Service.
Hillcrest’s President and CEO, Jerry Burke, said of the
event, “Our St. Patrick’s event is just another example of how the Berkshire
community supports our endeavors, and for that we are truly grateful”.
